This book explores this history, including also, local heros; the rich jazz and folk scenes; and the record stores, venues, and figures that have made the music scene in the city so vibrant.

About the Author

Lorraine Wilson is a Dundee-born writer, editor and radio broadcaster. She began her career in journalism on teenage magazines such as Jackie, before a mercifully brief spell working in London at the Daily Star and IPC magazines. She spent twelve years in Glasgow, on the features desk of The Herald and subsequently as a freelancer. She moved back to Dundee in 2004, and in 2010 spent a year as editor of The Scots Magazine. Music has always been a passion, both spectating and performing presently as singer in Dundee band Miami Vince.
